Renault uses RFID to log in to Facebook

So how far would you go for people to like your brand on Facebook? Would you hire an agency? Would you hire some ghost “likers” ? Would you beg and borrow your friends and then their friends to like a page or provide a discount on your product if they “liked” it ?

But then where is the innovation in that?

Recently French car-maker Renault showed how far it’s ready to go to get people to “like” its products on Facebook. At  the Dutch Auto Show Renault devised neat smart cards programmed with RFID chips which had an individual’s Facebook details.

Then they created Facebook “like” pillars beside each car on display where people could just swipe their RFID Smart cards if they liked the model and it would automatically display on their status updates.

Neat or what ?
